Maintain a neat, healthy lawn all season long. We provide dependable, weekly lawn mowing and line trimming services tailored to your property's layout.
Weekly lawn mowing on Martha's Vineyard keeps turf at the right height for Island conditions - typically 3 to 3.5 inches in summer to protect from heat and drought stress, with sharp-blade cutting to avoid disease entry points. Infinity Landscaping mows on a fixed day each week with line trimming, edge work, and clipping cleanup included. Pricing is per visit.
Lawn Care
What this page covers
Weekly scheduled service
We mow your lawn on a consistent weekly schedule, weather permitting, ensuring your grass never gets overly tall or stressed. Our team uses clean, sharp blades to prevent grass tearing, which reduces the risk of turf disease.
Line trimming & edging
A clean lawn depends on the details. We trim grass around foundations, fences, trees, and garden beds, and maintain crisp edges along walkways and driveways to give your property a polished, professional look.
Debris blowing & cleanup
We finish every mowing visit with a thorough cleanup. We use blowers to clear grass clippings and debris from your patios, decks, walkways, and driveways, leaving your outdoor entertaining areas neat and ready for use.
Clipping management
We recycle nutrients back into the soil by mulching fine clippings when conditions are dry. When grass is damp or long, we bag and remove clippings to prevent matting and thatch buildup on your lawn.
Lawn Care
Mowing for turf health on the Island
Lawn mowing is not just about keeping the grass short-it is a critical factor in the health of your lawn. On Martha's Vineyard, where summer heat and dry sandy soils can stress turf, mowing heights must be adjusted seasonally.
We follow the "one-third rule," never removing more than one-third of the grass blade height in a single visit. During the spring growth flush, we mow at a standard 2.5 to 3 inches. As summer heat rises in July and August, we raise our decks to 3.5 inches. This extra height shades the soil, reduces water evaporation, protects the roots from heat stress, and helps shade out weed seeds naturally.

Frequently asked questions
We assign your property a consistent day of the week to help you plan. In the event of heavy rain or storms, we adjust our schedule to complete the work on the following dry day, ensuring the turf is not damaged by heavy wheels.
Dull mower blades tear the grass rather than cutting it cleanly. Torn grass tips turn brown and frayed, giving the lawn a dull appearance. Tearing also opens wounds in the grass blades, making the turf more vulnerable to fungal diseases and water loss. We sharpen our commercial blades daily.
It is best to stick to your standard morning irrigation schedule. Watering immediately after mowing in the hot sun can create a humid environment that encourages fungal diseases. Watering in the early morning (4 AM to 8 AM) is always the most effective path.
Mowing rates are based on the square footage of the turf, the terrain slope, the number of obstacles (trees, beds, play structures) that require line trimming, and property access. We provide a fixed, flat rate per visit after a quick on-site review.
